Page 561 of the Quran marks the final, inspiring conclusion of Surah At-Tahrim (Chapter 66), verses 8 through 12.
After issuing deep warnings about accountability and the reality of the Hellfire, the Quran shifts gracefully to the concept of absolute transformation. This page contains the blueprint for standard repentance, details the physical "light" believers will carry on the Day of Judgment, and models four distinct human archetypes through the historical examples of famous women.
The Sunnah and canonical Hadith literature provide extensive structural commentary, theological definitions, and personal evaluations from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ regarding the personalities highlighted on this page.
"O you who have believed, turn to Allah with sincere repentance (Tawbatan Nasuha)... Their light will proceed before them and on their right..." (Quran 66:8)
The companions were highly eager to understand the exact mechanics of a "sincere" repentance (Nasuha) that effectively deletes a lifetime of errors.
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is a sincere repentance?"
The Prophet ﷺ replied: "It is when a person repents for a sin, and then never returns to it, just as milk never goes back into the udder from which it was milked."

The verse states that their light will run ahead of them on the Day of Judgment. The Sunnah explains that this light is what allows them to traverse the Sirat (the narrow bridge over Hell), and it details how hypocrites will be stripped of it.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The believers will be given light according to the weight of their deeds. Some will have a light like a mountain stretching before them, some like a date-tree, and the one with the least light will have it on his big toe—it will flash at one moment and extinguish at another... The hypocrites will walk behind them and yell, 'Wait for us so we may borrow from your light!' But a wall will be slammed down between them."

The Surah closes by delivering an absolute paradigm shift regarding personal accountability. It presents four historical women to prove that your marital association or lineage means absolutely nothing if your individual choice of faith is corrupted or preserved.
"And Allah presents an example of those who believed: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, 'My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise...'" (Quran 66:11)
The Sunnah fills in the historical background of Asiyah bint Muzahim (ra). When her husband, the tyrannical Pharaoh, discovered that she secretly worshipped the God of Moses, he ordered her to be brutally tortured under the blazing desert sun.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The wife of Pharaoh was severely tortured under the sun. When her captors would step away to take a break, the angels would immediately swoop down and shade her with their wings. She looked up toward the sky and explicitly saw her house being constructed for her in Paradise. She smiled and laughed in joy, and her soul departed her body before the final heavy stone was even dropped upon her."

To seal the ultimate status of both Asiyah (verse 11) and Maryam (verse 12), the Prophet ﷺ highlighted their peerless human perfection in multiple authenticated traditions.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew four lines on the ground with a stick and asked his companions: "Do you know what this is?"
They replied: "Allah and His Messenger know best."
He ﷺ said: "The best of all women of the dwellers of Paradise are four: Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, Fatimah bint Muhammad, Maryam bint 'Imran [mentioned in verse 12], and Asiyah bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh [mentioned in verse 11]."

The Prophet ﷺ also noted that while many men reached spiritual maturity and absolute focus throughout history, only a tiny handful of women achieved absolute human perfection—specifically highlighting the two icons anchoring page 561:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached perfection except Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran, and Asiyah, the wife of Pharaoh. And the superiority of Aisha over other women is like the superiority of Tharid (a premium meat and bread dish) over all other meals."
