Quran Study Principles:
Learning must be a voluntary personal effort of a committed Muslim. This personal study may be integrated and made complementary to more formal studies in Islamic schools or lectures by scholars and teachers.
There must be a personal plan and a timetable/schedule for the study of the Quran. It may be a 6-months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or any timetable deemed necessary according to personal goals.
A student of the quran must be commited to the attainment of mastery in the recommended areas of excellence.
There must be assessment of learning, so the student may know his/her status as to the attainment of goals and objectives. This is purely voluntary and according to a student's study plan and schedule. Grading system for subjective personal assessment and objective scholarly professional-academic assessment of learning by an Islamic scholar/teacher. The Islamic scholars/imam/ustadh or teachers must be recognized and well respected among the Muslim communities, in the area, city, country or region where the Muslim student resides.
The professional-academic assessment is similar to the defense of an undergraduate study, master's thesis or doctoral dissertation where the student has to make a presentation to and pass the asessment of a panel of at least 1, 2 or more Muslim scholars or teachers depending on the level of assessment needed.
Note/Reminder: The professional-academic assessment is not a mandatory requirement for all learners of the Quran, using the materials at "quranstudyguide.com" but it is highly recommended and purely voluntary for a Muslim who wants to serve Allah, in a higher, wider or more effective capacity.
